Call for applications: Irish Producer Co-Production Delegation in partnership with TIFF and Ontario Creates

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is delighted to partner with Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and Ontario Creates on a co-production trade mission between Ireland and Canada. A selected group of up to 10 Irish producers will join a delegation attending TIFF from Friday 5th to Tuesday 9th September 2025, to develop Canadian co-production and financing opportunities for projects in late stage development.
The successful applicants will receive a bursary of €2,000 that must be used to cover flight, accommodation and subsistence expenses.
To qualify, applicants must have previous experience in producing feature film or TV drama, and show evidence of at least one of the following:
- A strong track record in producing with Canada.
- At least one project (feature film or TV drama) at late-stage development or financing stage, which would benefit from co-production with Canada. These projects must have an existing offer of development funding from Screen Ireland.
and
- A proven commitment to Industry Growth & Creative Ambition, a key Screen Ireland funding principle.
Additional weighting will be given to applicants who fulfil the above criteria and can also demonstrate one or more of the following:
- A project selected for the Ontario Creates International Financing Forum (iff) 2025.
- Projects that demonstrate a commitment to GEDI (Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) principles.
Applicants must be available to attend the festival from the 5th to the 9th September 2025 inclusive.
Interested candidates should email marketing@screenireland.ie with the subject line ‘TIFF Co-Production Delegation Application’ and include the following information:
- Producer/Production Company short bio, including a list of relevant credits. (Max 1 page)
- List of qualifying projects (see above) and a clear indication of what stage these projects are in, e.g. late stage development / financing. (Max 1 page)
- A short statement explaining how the qualifying projects demonstrate Industry Growth & Creative Ambition, a key Screen Ireland funding principle (Max 150 words).
- If applicable, please indicate whether the qualifying projects have been selected for the Ontario Creates International Financing Forum (iff) 2025, or demonstrate a particular commitment GEDI (Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) principles.
