Call for Applications: Production Finance Market 2026

Posted: 10th June 2026

With the support of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland for a second year, Film London is now seeking applications from Irish producers who wish to be considered for the 2026 edition of the Production Finance Market (PFM).

Taking place from 6th – 7th October in Central London during the BFI London Film Festival, the PFM is a dynamic two-day financing event that connects independent filmmakers with leading decision-makers across the global screen industry. As part of Screen Ireland’s collaboration, selected talent will receive accreditation and accommodation support to attend.

Whether an established producer or an emerging voice, the PFM offers tailored opportunities through two strands:

1. Main Strand

Open to experienced producers with projects aimed at international audiences, this strand is designed for feature films with a budget of at least €1 million (and documentaries at any budget-level), with some finance already in place. Participants receive personalised meeting schedules, connecting them directly with potential financiers, distributors, sales agents, and other key industry partners.

Two Irish projects will be selected to attend with each producer (1 per project) receiving two nights’ accommodation (5th-6th October) and participation fee as part of Screen Ireland’s collaboration (travel costs not included).

2. New Talent Strand (NTS)

Designed for first- or second-time filmmaking teams, the New Talent Strand (NTS) offers pitch training, project mentoring, and a bespoke day of meetings with financiers. With no budget cap, this strand expands access and opens the door wider for bold, breakthrough projects. The programme also includes an intensive Prep Week led by industry experts, supporting filmmakers in pitching, financing, and navigating the independent film landscape. Participants receive personalised meeting schedules for PFM, connecting them directly with potential financiers, distributors, sales agents, and other key industry partners. Projects must be a first or second feature, intended for theatrical releases with a producer and director (cannot be the same person) attached, a developed script and finance plan in place. Note all genres are eligible but genre and documentary will be prioritised over drama.

One Irish project will be selected to attend with the producer and director receiving two nights accommodation each (5th-6th October) and participation fee as part of Screen Ireland’s collaboration (travel costs not included).

The deadlines to apply are:

  • Main Strand: 29th June 2026 by 5pm UK time
  • New Talent Strand: 22nd June 2026 by 5pm UK time

Full details and the application forms are available at Producers - Production Finance Market (PFM)

The selection of projects is at the discretion of Film London. Any questions about PFM should be directed to pfm@filmlondon.org.uk.
