Call for Applications: Rotterdam Lab 2026

Posted: 26th November 2025

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is seeking applications from emerging Irish producers to take part in Rotterdam Lab at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2026.

Rotterdam Lab is an annual training workshop for international film producers, embedded within the IFFR Pro Days of the festival alongside the world-renowned CineMart project market, the Darkroom works-in-progress programme, immersive market platforms and the Pro Hub and Reality Check activities.

In its 26th edition, the Rotterdam Lab hosts more than 70 producers and creators nominated by partner organisations from around the world. The purpose is to offer emerging professionals the means to build and develop their network, providing confidence, tools and skills to navigate the world of international film financing, production, sales, marketing, festivals and distribution.

Screen Ireland is offering two emerging Irish producers the opportunity to take part in the Lab from 30th January - 4th February 2026, with five nights' accommodation, breakfast, participation in the five-day Rotterdam Lab Programme and CineMart accreditation included. Accreditation entitles the participant to attend all screenings and significant events. Candidates should be emerging producers from Ireland who have produced at least one or two short films, and not more than two feature films. Producers who have taken part in the Lab previously are not eligible.
