Screen Ireland will host Virtual Pavilion at the Cannes Marché du Film 2020

Posted: 27th May 2020

In April 2020 the Cannes Marché du Film announced that the market would become a standalone online market created to support international film industry professionals. It will be held from Monday 22 to Friday 26 June. Fís Eireann /Screen Ireland (Screen Ireland) is delighted to announce that it will host a virtual pavilion as part of the international village to promote the Irish industry.

The online market is intended to mimic the market experience in Cannes, with live and real-time meetings. It will offer creative alternatives to facilitate business and networking for film industry professionals from all over the world. The Marché du Film Online will take the shape of a closed industry space including:

  1. Virtual booths for Sales agents
  2. Virtual pavilions for Institutions
  3. Video Meetings
  4. Online Screenings
  5. Programs & Conferences

Through the Pavilion the agency will continue its commitment to promoting Irish films selling in the market, new Irish titles coming to market, Irish talent, Ireland as a film location and the Section 481 tax incentive.  Screen Ireland has a very limited number of complimentary accreditations available for Irish film industry professionals, who are invited to apply. The accreditation is limited to one producer applicant per company, with strict eligibility criteria applied.
