Hugh O'Conor's warm coming-of-age story, Metal Heart, will be released in cinemas in Ireland on Friday, 28th June.
It tells the story of fraternal twin sisters Emma (Jordanne Jones) and her bubbly blonde sister Chantal (Leah McNamara) who are worlds apart. When their parents go away for the summer, their simmering sibling rivalry threatens to boil over, especially when a mysterious man (Moe Dunford) next door moves back in.
Following its World Premiere at the 30th Galway Film Fleadh in 2018, Metal Heart marks Hugh O'Conor's directorial debut, with a screenplay written by award-winning novelist Paul Murray. It is produced by Claire McCaughley and Rebecca O’Flanagan for Treasure Entertainment, financed by Screen Ireland, RTÉ, Head Gear Films, and Bank Side Films.
