Discover 10 new short films from Irish emerging talent at the Galway Film Fleadh World Premiere of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland Shorts

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is proud to present the World Premiere of 10 new Irish short films funded under the agency's flagship Focus Shorts and Frameworks scheme at the upcoming 2025 Galway Film Fleadh.

The programme will screen on Saturday 12th July at 11.30am in the Town Hall Theatre. The screening is currently SOLD OUT.

The Frameworks short films featured in this screening are co-funded by RTÉ.

Punt

In the shadow of the 1994 World Cup, a heartbroken woman returns to the island of her happiest memory to end her life. But, when her pay-as-you-go meter runs out, a coin hunt with the local drunk leads to an unlikely bet: Ireland to qualify.

Violent Volition

A conversation about free will versus determinism through the eyes of two fighting game warriors. Do they have the power of choice, or are they puppets on a string? Can they change their destiny, or are they condemned to kill?
