Discover new Irish Shorts at the 35th Galway Film Fleadh

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is proud to present an exciting and diverse line-up of new Irish short films that will receive their World Premiere at the 35th Galway Film Fleadh. This year's line-up includes five shorts from the Focus scheme, five shorts from the Frameworks scheme (co-funded by Screen Ireland and RTÉ), three shorts from the Actor as Creator scheme (co-funded by Screen Ireland and Bow Street Academy), an animated short documentary from Damian Farrell & Gerry Hoban, and four short documentaries from diverse young creatives of the National Film School at IADT (co-funded by Screen Ireland, the NFS and the US Embassy of Ireland).

The World Premiere of Screen Ireland’s 2023 slate of Focus and Frameworks short films will take place on Saturday, 15th July in the Town Hall Theatre at 12pm.

The World Premiere of the three short films funded through Screen Ireland and Bow Street Academy's Actor as Creator scheme are as follows:

The World Premiere of Damian Farrell & Gerry Hoban's Shakes Versus Shav will take on place on Thursday, 13th July in the Town Hall Theatre at 10am as part of the Irish Talent - New Shorts 2: Documentaries programme.

The World Premiere of four short documentaries from diverse young creatives of the National Film School at IADT will take place on Sunday, 16th July in the Town Hall Theatre at 12pm as part of the Irish Talent - New Shorts 9: Documentary.
