Don’t miss Screen Ireland-supported films at Fastnet Film Festival 2019

An eclectic line-up of Screen Ireland-supported features and short films is now underway at the 2019 Fastnet Film Festival, which takes place in Schull, Co. Cork from May 22nd to May 26th.
Along with screenings of Lee Cronin’s The Hole in the Ground, Paddy Breathnach’s Rosie, and Carmel Winters’ Float Like a Butterfly, other Screen Ireland-supported events include Screen Skills Ireland masterclasses on Making of the Soundtrack and an expert panel discussion featuring James Hickey, Chief Executive of Screen Ireland, on the topic ‘What’s Next for Irish Film?’
12 Screen Ireland-supported short films are also among the highlights of this year’s shorts programme, including: Bending Glass, Honest, Reality Baby, Low Tide, Day Out, Mary, The Vasectomy Doctor, Procession, The Wiremen, The Butcher, The Trap and Lady Black Eyes.
Closing the festival on Sunday, May 26th, Carmel Winters’ Float Like A Butterfly returns to its shooting location of West Cork, back from its successful international festival run including being awarded the FIPRESCI Prize Discovery at the Toronto International Film Festival.
