Edinburgh International Film Festival and The Filmarket Hub platform announces selected projects at the Celtic Screen Talent Showcase

The Filmarket Hub platform and Edinburgh International Film Festival have just announced the selected projects at the Celtic Screen Talent Showcase - a virtual pitch event dedicated to feature films and scripted series in development by talent from the six Celtic nations.
The aim of the new initiative is to discover high quality unproduced projects from the Celtic nations and match them with leading companies in the international industry. Representatives from the selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch and meet executives from companies such as CrossDay Productions, Curzon, Endor Productions, Federation Entertainment, Gaumont, Great Point Media, Head Gear Films, NBCUniversal International Scripted, Red Arrow Studios and Silver Reel.
The event takes place online on the 5th and the 6th of August as part of the industry activity of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Day one of the showcase will focus on feature films and day two will highlight scripted series.
We are delighted to say that three Screen Ireland-funded projects were included in the selection. Featured in the Feature Film section, 11 Ragman Street, written and directed by Chiara Viale and produced by Cilléin Mc Evoy and Chiara Viale.
Featured in the scripted series section, The Liberties, written by Brian Durnin, Gary Duggan, Pierce Ryan and Fran Harris and produced by Laura McNicholas (925 Productions), Cormac Fox (Vico Films - The Young Offenders/Cold Courage) and Brian Durnin (Greenhorn Films).
Denise Anne Deegan’s Tough Old Broad, developed through Screen Ireland’s Spotlight scheme, is featured in the Special Mentions section.
