Eight Irish Projects Pitch at 2017 Cartoon Forum

Posted: 15th September 2017

Congratulations to eight Irish animations studios, who pitched at the 29thCartoon Forum in Toulouse, France, earlier this week. Seven of the eight selected projects received IFB funding including Wiggleywoo’s Farmer Mo, Ink and Light’s Hare and the Prisoner, Giant Animation’s Knuckle, Kavaleer Production’s Neenawsaurs!, Dream Logic’s The Lost Letter, Piranha Bar’s The Monster Trucks and JAM Media’s The Slimefoots, which all pitched alongside Turnip and Duck’s Brain Freeze High.

Cartoon Forum is a unique event focusing on pitching sessions of pre-selected TV projects, where animation producers can find cross-border partners and speed up financial arrangements.

Kavaleer Productions were also nominated for the coveted Producer of the Year award at the Cartoon Forum Tributes.

Ireland was the second-highest-selected country after France and the Irish selection at Cartoon Forum comes after the Forum placed a special spotlight on Irish animation at the 2016 event—the first time ever that such an honour was bestowed on one country.
