Enzo d’Alò‘s A Greyhound of a Girl is nominated for European Animated Feature Film at the European Film Awards 2023

Our sincere congratulations to Enzo d’Alò and the entire creative team behind A Greyhound of a Girl on their nomination in the European Animated Feature Film category at the upcoming European Film Awards. The film is a co-production between Luxembourg, Italy, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Estonia and Germany.
A Greyhound of a Girl received its World Premiere this year at the 73rd edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) as part of the Generation Kplus 2023 programme. Based on Roddy Doyle's novel of the same, the film is written by Enzo d’Alò and Dave Ingham and stars Mia O'Connor, Charlene McKenna, Brendan Gleeson, Sharon Horgan and Rosaleen Linehan.
The film follows Mary, an 11 year old with an insuppressible passion for cooking and a dream of becoming a great chef. Her grandmother Emer, with whom she has a very special relationship, encourages her to make this dream come true. But every path has its pesky obstacles, and facing them turns into quite an adventure. Mary thus begins a journey across the barriers of time, in which four generations of women come together and get to know each other truly and deeply.
A Greyhound of a Girl is produced by Adrien Chef, Paul Thiltges, Xenia Douglas, Mark Cumberton, Richard Gordon, Vilnis Kalnaellis, Riina Sildos and Artur Kubiczek. The film is proudly supported by Screen Ireland. We are delighted the film recognised at this year's European Film Awards, which honour the greatest achievements in European cinema. This year's ceremony will take place on Saturday, 9th December in Berlin. The Awards are presented jointly by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions across 24 categories.
