Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland announced as official partner for NEXUS Games Conference 2025 in Dublin

Posted: 30th September 2025

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the NEXUS Games Conference, a leading industry summit bringing together senior executives, developers and thought leaders from the global digital games industry. The NEXUS Games Conference takes place in Dublin on the 1st and 2nd October 2025, delivering two days of keynote sessions, roundtables and curated networking, welcoming over 300 industry delegates.

Désirée Finnegan, Chief Executive, Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, said:

“Screen Ireland is delighted to support the NEXUS Games Conference through our flagship Screen Stakeholders Fund, as the event brings together the Irish and international games community in a diverse programme focused on creative opportunities and industry development. Partnering with the conference, reflects our belief in the strategic importance of Ireland as a hub for creative screen production, and underlines how important strong partnerships across the sector are to the growth of digital games in Ireland.”

Stuart Dempsey, CEO with NEXUS added:

"We're delighted to welcome Screen Ireland as a Senior Partner for NEXUS 2025. It's an incredibly exciting time for the games industry in #Ireland and Screen Ireland projects like IndieDev are playing a key role in the continued growth of the sector."

Screen Ireland will join other senior partners including Google and the IDA to support the conference programme, which will feature international speakers and a range of sessions covering topics such as AI in games, the future of play, and industry business models. Ireland’s games sector has shown sustained momentum in recent years and benefits from a growing domestic ecosystem of studios, talent programmes and international investment. Globally, the digital games industry has grown rapidly over the past 10 years, and has been projected to reach a value of $321 billion by 2026.

Support for digital games in Ireland has expanded, with the Irish Government introducing the Digital Games Corporation Tax Credit (Digital Games Relief) in 2023. Screen Ireland has launched several funding initiatives for digital games, including IndieDev - the first all-island initiative to support the development of games prototypes – as well as talent incubator schemes designed to encourage cultural, creative and commercial growth in the sector.

The NEXUS Games Conference takes place 1st and 2nd October 2025, Dublin (The Foundry / Google Ireland).
