Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland pays tribute to Irish filmmaker and photographer Ross McDonnell

The Board and staff of Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland have been deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Irish filmmaker and photographer Ross McDonnell. Ross was an immensely talented documentary maker, whose work garnered Emmy Awards, critical acclaim, and reached audiences around the world. His feature films Colony and Elián were proudly supported by Screen Ireland, as well as short film Remember Me, My Ghost and Love Yourself Today, the documentary he co-produced and co-wrote with Ross Killeen. His films showcased an artistic voice that was as politically conscious as it was visually powerful, while his work as a cinematographer has created unforgettable images across Irish documentary.
Our heartfelt condolences go to Ross’ family and loved ones, as well as everyone in the Irish screen industry who worked with him, knew him and learned from him.
