Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland Welcome the Appointment of New Board Members Róisín Henehan and Dr Ciarán O'Carroll

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland welcomes the appointment of two new board members Róisín Henehan and Dr Ciarán O'Carroll, announced today by Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin T.D.
Welcoming the new board members Susan Bergin, Chair, Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland said:
“I'm delighted to welcome the appointment of two new board members for Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, who bring a wealth of experience to support the Irish creative screen industry. The Board and Executive at Screen Ireland look forward to working with Ciarán and Róisín towards delivering our priorities, which remain focused on supporting new and established talent, funding Irish screen stories across film, television and animation and creating skills development opportunities nationwide.”
These appointments were made following an open competition operated by the Public Appointments Service.
Róisín Henehan
Róisín Henehan is graduate of UCD Quinn School of business and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Róisín worked as a professional advisor specialising in Section 481 for over a decade and is credited on over 100 film, television and animation projects. In 2015, she was appointed as a board member of Women in Film and Television Ireland, where she also served as treasurer and secretary until 2019. In 2019, she moved to the public sector taking up the role of Chief Financial Officer and Board Secretary of the Digital Hub Development Agency. She is currently embarking on a new role as Chief Financial Officer of the Land Development Agency.
Dr. Ciarán O'Carroll
Dr. Ciarán O'Carroll is a distinguished Climate & Sustainable Transition expert renowned for his extensive background in sustainability consultancy and academia. With a career marked by unwavering dedication to sustainability, he has made significant contributions to major organisations such as L'Oreal, PwC Ireland, and Change by Degrees. He has played pivotal roles in crafting sustainability strategies, conducting climate risk analyses, and advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives. His role as a Lecturer in Sustainability Leadership at TU Dublin demonstrates his commitment to nurturing the knowledge and skills of future sustainability leaders. His passion for sustainability is equally matched by his enthusiasm for the Irish Film Industry. He is eager to contribute to the filmmaking community, assisting in the development and showcasing of artistic, cultural, and commercial narratives on both a local and global stage.
