Frame your vision: the deadline for Frameworks has been extended to Friday 4th March

Posted: 2nd February 2022

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland has extended the deadline for Frameworks, its flagship short film scheme.

Frameworks, which is co-funded by RTÉ, is a flagship scheme for the Irish animation sector, and has produced award-winning films to a consistently high standard, including most recently Louise Bagnall’s Late Afternoon, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short in 2019. Projects selected for funding will combine creative exploration with an ability to appeal to a general audience, though not necessarily aimed at children.

Up to four Frameworks projects will be selected to go into production: up to two shorter 2 minute projects with a maximum budget of €20,000, where successful applicants who may require assistance in specific areas will be guided and supported by mentoring, and up to two 5 minute projects with a maximum budget of €55,000.

The deadline for applications is now 1pm on Friday, 4th March 2022, and applications are currently open.

You can find more information on Frameworks, as well as guidelines and details on how to apply, here.
