Posted: 17th September 2018

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland has placed a special spotlight on the Western Region Audiovisual Producers (WRAP) Fund, highlighting key locations from the six WRAP counties — Clare, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo. The gallery, which is available to view here, showcases mesmerising landscapes, sea-salted shorelines and a myriad of towns and villages.

WRAP is the Regional Production Fund for the West of Ireland committed to encouraging production activity across the feature film, television drama, animation and gaming sectors. Major Irish and international productions to have filmed in the WRAP counties include Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince (Clare), Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Donegal), Black ‘47 (Galway), Pilgrimage (Mayo), Moone Boy (Roscommon) and Calvary (Sligo).

An initiative of the Western Development Commission and Galway Film Centre with the support of the local authorities of Clare, Donegal, Galway City, Galway County, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo and Údurás na Gaeltachta, the fund of €2,000,000 is available from 2017 – 2020.
