IFTA launches Screen Discussions series promoting Irish film, starting Monday May 10th
Posted: 10th May 2021
The IFTA Screen Discussion series for 2021 begins today, on May 10th. The series includes online talks with the teams from Irish and Screen Ireland-supported films like Dating Amber, Sea Fever, Go Get Davey and Broken Law with many more to follow.
Following on from last year's hugely successful series of online events, showcasing the talent behind all films submitted for the 2020 IFTA Awards, IFTA once again is promoting Irish titles and creative talent online through the Academy's IFTA Screen Discussions Series.
This series (online Q&A events, interviews and panel discussions with the filmmakers and talent involved - directors, writers, producers, acting and craft talent) ensures that each title submitted for the 2021 Awards has every opportunity to engage with Irish Academy members and voters throughout the viewing and voting season. The live discussions have been made available online for IFTA Members and Irish filmmakers to attend for free upon registration and will continue into early June.
Across all Irish titles next week, IFTA are joined by actors Fionn O'Shea, Lola Petticrew, Tristan Heanue, Graham Earley, Gemma-Leah Deveraux, John Connors, Ally Ni Chiarain, Ryan Lincoln, Gary Lydon, and Glenn Mulhern; writer/directors David Freyne, Neasa Hardiman, Chris Aylmer and Paddy Slattery; and producers Rachael O'Kane, Brendan McCarthy, John McDonnell, Korina Kaur and Simon Doyle.
