Brown Bag Films, Paper Panther Productions and Nora Twomey Lead the Winners at the Irish Animation Awards

The Irish Animation Awards, which took place on 23 March as part of Animation Dingle saw Brown Bag Films and Paper Panther Productions lead the winners, with both companies receiving three major awards each. Nora Twomey was presented with the Murakami Award while her Academy Award®-nominated debut feature, The Breadwinner, took home Best Irish Feature Film.

Paper Panther Productions was awarded Best Newcomer and the company also received the Best Animation and Best Design and Art Direction accolades for its Frameworks short film, The Bird and the Whale—co-funded by Screen Ireland and RTÉ.

Nora Twomey also delivered a keynote address at the awards, alongside Academy Award®-nominated Finding Nemo writer Bob Peterson and Golden Globe-winning producer of How to Train Your Dragon, Bonnie Arnold.
