Chicago Irish Film Festival
February 26th - March 1st
The Chicago Irish Film Festival has been dedicated to presenting the works of Irish filmmakers since 1999, opening a window into the colour and complexity of Irish life for Chicago audiences. The festival strives to include a broad representation of current Irish cinema in both English and Irish language. This year's programme features an Opening Night screening of Báite and a diverse range of feature films, documentary and shorts until the Closing Night screening of Saipan.
Capital Irish Film Festival
February 26th - March 1st
Solas Nua’s annual Capital Irish Film Festival in Washington, D.C. presents one of the largest programs of Irish cinema in North America, showcasing the latest Irish dramatic and documentary features, shorts, art films, and animation releases by Irish and Ireland-based filmmakers. The festival provides a US platform that magnifies the work of independent filmmakers working in Ireland and beyond, and celebrates the great contemporary cinematic culture of Ireland.
CraicFest
March 4th - 7th
Since its inception, CraicFest has screened over 350 films, serving as a launchpad for many filmmakers. This year's edition feature the New York City Premiere of Saipan, short films from Rosie Barrett's Mouse to Tara Hegarty's Gael Force and more.
Belgrade Irish Film Festival
March 12th - 21st
From the 12th of March 2026, contemporary Irish culture will land in Belgrade, the beating heart of the Balkans. Films, theatre, music, literature, visual arts, street art, comedy, conversation and much more will cross paths and surprise local audiences. Multi-award winning actors Stephen Rea and Ruth Negga and Oscar-winning director Neil Jordan will be in attendance.
Irish Film Festival Los Angeles - CIACLA
March 20th - 22nd
The Irish Film Festival Los Angeles returns March 20–22, 2026 for a three-day celebration of contemporary Irish cinema at the Laemmle Monica Film Center, presenting a bold and diverse programme of feature films, documentaries, vertical cinema, and Oscar Nominated short films from both established voices and emerging talent.
Irish Film Festa - Rome Irish Film Festival
March 25th - 29th
IRISH FILM FESTA was created in 2007 and is aimed at promoting Irish cinematography and culture in Italy. The festival, held at the Casa del Cinema in Rome, presents new feature films, established classics, and a short film competition. The Festival recently announced its 2026 short film competition, with the full programme to follow shortly.
Toronto Irish Film Festival
March 27th - 29th
Now in its 16th year, the Toronto Irish Film Festival (TIRFF) celebrates the very best of Irish cinema. With sold-out screenings from 2010 to 2026, TIRFF is proud of its role as the leading promoter of Irish film within Canada. The Irish language film Báite will kick off the 2026 edition, followed by two full days of short film programmes, exciting documentaries and award-winning features.
