Kate McColgan Appointed Head of Television at Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate McColgan as the agency’s Head of Television. Kate brings over 20 years of experience in film and television across development, production and acquisitions.
While based in the UK, Kate worked for Irish company Parallel Films as Development and Production Manager, overseeing their TV & Film slate; at MTV she managed the launch of MTV Arabia Television across the UAE and Arab Regions; and for Element Pictures she managed the company’s television co-production slate from 2011-2013 including TV series Ripper Street and Blood. She was also Head of European Production for US distributor MPI Media across film and television.
As a producer, Kate’s credits include From The Dark, The Drummer and the Keeper, TV series Darklands and The Heist Before Christmas, Sky’s most popular Sky Original in 6 years.

As Screen Ireland’s Head of Television, Kate will will be responsible for the management of the Screen Ireland slate across television and animation series, from development to production. Working closely with both Irish and international broadcasters and streamers, this role will support Irish writers, producers and directors across the process from development to broadcast.
Kate is a graduate of the Screen Leaders Programme is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and was a board member for Screen Ireland from 2017-2023.
Kate McColgan will take up the new role in February 2025, based in Dublin.
