Safe to Create Launches New Active Bystander in the Workplace Course for the Arts & Creative Sectors
Posted: 15th December 2022
Safe to Create in collaboration with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland have launched a new certified self-led online course addressing Dignity at Work for professionals working in the arts and creative sectors.
The new active bystander course is designed to empower individuals to challenge unacceptable behaviour that may have become normalised in the workplace. The course aims to explain the role of an active bystander, identify forms of inappropriate behaviour, demonstrate how to be an active bystander safely and the positive effect this can have in the workplace for all.

The development of the active bystander training course builds on two existing certified self-led courses in the Dignity at Work series:
Addressing Unconscious Bias: Basic Awareness for the Arts and Creative Sectors
A course is designed to help individuals understand what unconscious bias is, how it might manifest itself and how to challenge assumptions to promote greater diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
