Screen Ireland Call for Applications - EFP Producers on the Move 2026
Posted: 4th February 2026
Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is seeking applications from producers who wish to be considered as the Irish selection for the 2026 EFP Producers on the Move programme, held each year at the Cannes Film Festival.
The hybrid PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE programme consists of preparatory online meetings on three consecutive days, 28th - 30th April, prior to the festival and subsequent networking events on site from 14th to 18th May. Applicants must ensure that they are available on all of these dates.
Over the past 26 years, over 500 producers from across Europe have been given the opportunity to take part in PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE in Cannes. The well-established initiative strives to connect young enterprising European producers with potential co-production partners and to bolster essential industry networking. At the same time, it provides a visible platform for a coming generation of European filmmakers at one of the most important film festivals.
Previous Irish Producers on the Move have included Deirdre Levins (The Restoration at Grayson Manor), Evan Horan (Whitetail), Kathryn Kennedy (Atomic Hope), Jessie Fisk (Wolf), John Wallace (Rialto), Cormac Fox (Animals), Alan Maher (Song of Granite), Katie Holly (Vita & Virginia), John Keville and Conor Barry (The Hole in the Ground), Juliette Bonass (A Date for Mad Mary) and Rebecca O’Flanagan (Papi Chulo).
Screen Ireland is seeking applications from Irish producers with international experience who have a strong interest in working with partners in Europe.
To apply, please send the attached application form and a letter of motivation, a description and a financing plan of the project or slate of projects to be pitched at the festival with the subject line "Producer on the Move 2026" to marketing@screenireland.ie before Wednesday 25th February at 1pm.
