Screen Pass: New Health & Safety Training Course for the Irish Screen Sector

Posted: 4th April 2022

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland (Screen Ireland) is pleased to unveil Screen Pass, a new online self-led health and safety training course that will be available free of charge for all professionals working in the Irish screen sector.

The Screen Pass training course, which was developed on the back of the new Health & Safety guide for the sector published in late 2021, contains key information on preventing accidents and encouraging a positive health and safety culture on set.

The Screen Pass training course was developed with input from key industry stakeholders and professionals including Karen Cummins, Health & Safety Consultant with the Chris Mee Group, representatives from Screen Guilds of Ireland and Jo Homewood, Line Producer.

The course content covers critical topics such as promoting a safety culture, duties and responsibilities of employers and employees, hazard identification, risk assessments and personal health and wellbeing.

Screen Ireland plans to launch a number of other online, self-led training courses for free throughout 2022 to support the Irish screen sector, including courses on topics such as Unconscious Bias, Bullying & Harassment and Bystander Intervention.
