Two new Screen Ireland supported TV series in Virgin Media’s new season launch

Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland welcomes the launch of Virgin Media Television's new season. The broadcaster announced today its new programme bringing viewers exciting original Irish programming, journalism, live sport, international drama and returning audience favourites, including Zero Focals Given and Complicit, two new TV series supported by the agency.
Based on the award-winning Virgin Media Discovers Short Film Trasna na Líne, Zero Focals Given is Virgin Media Television's first vertical drama serie designed specifically for smartphone viewing.
Múinteoir Emma and the staff of Coláiste Lorcáin are back. Just when life as a self-confessed “Gaeilge-curious” teacher seems to be settling down, a surprise Department inspection throws the school into chaos. Under intense scrutiny, Emma struggles to keep pace while her colleagues face dramas of their own. Múinteoir Eoin clashes with the school’s new camogie coach, Múinteoir Aisling takes on the resident guidance counsellor, and Príomhoide Deirdre is pushed to her limits. As ambitions, rivalries and anxieties collide over one eventful day, the question remains: who’s really pulling the strings?
The series is directed by Niamh Bryson and co-written by Niamh Bryson and Heather O'Sullivan, who also stars. Zero Focals Given is produced by Vico Films for Virgin Media Discovers in association with Screen Ireland.

Complicit is produced by Tall Story Pictures and Metropolitan Pictures for Channel 4, ITV Studios and Virgin Media Television, with support from Screen Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán’s Sound & Vision Funding scheme.
