FÍs Éireann/Screen Ireland is the national development agency for the Screen Sector investing in Talent, Creativity and Enterprise. The agency also supports and promotes the Irish film industry and the use of Ireland as a location for international production.
Our role sees us directly involved in the creative process of the development and production of Irish film and other audiovisual projects. We provide investment for the development, production and distribution of Irish feature films, co-productions, feature documentaries, animation and short films.
In recognition of the growing importance of TV Drama both in terms of storytelling and company development Screen Ireland intend to open up a dedicated line of funding in 2019. Therefore we want to engage a TV Drama Project Consultant.
TV Drama Project Consultant – Role Description
The role will consist of working across the range of applications for TV Drama funding from development to production. This will involve the TV Drama Project Consultant assessing the applications for funding with regard to creative strength, viability, commercial attachments and the opportunities for the development of talent. The TV Drama Project Consultant will report to the CEO and will attend the SI Development meetings and Project Group meetings where TV Drama applications are presented and funding decisions / recommendations are made. The TV Drama Project Consultant will liaise with successful and unsuccessful applicants. The TV Drama Project Consultant will also monitor the full slate of Screen Ireland TV Drama projects and will assist Producers, Writers and Directors in the development process.
TV Drama Project Consultant – Essential Experience
- Strong proven track record of working in the television drama sector in a creative capacity is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of the TV drama landscape including broadcasters, production companies and key talent.

This position will be offered as a 1 year contract for services. Remuneration will be on a daily rate of €300 – and it is envisaged to be circa 3 days per week / over 48 weeks. There will be some international travel associated with this position. The successful candidate must be able to start immediately.
The position will not be exclusive to the Screen Ireland and the SI Conflict of Interest rules will apply.
