Where to Watch 2025: the Irish films and TV released this year

Posted: 23rd December 2025

This Christmas, Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.

This year, so many Irish films, documentaries, animated series and TV drama made connections with audiences at home and around the world. Some of these 2025 projects are available to watch at home – and we’ve created a guide to where you can find them, via Where to Watch Ireland.

But don’t forget - you can still catch Irish films on the big screen near you, including Glenn Leyburn and Lisa D'Sa's upcoming film Saipan, in Irish cinemas from January 1st.

Saipan

Saipan (2025) - The thrilling story of the infamous confrontation between iconic Republic of Ireland football captain Roy Keane (Éanna Hardwicke) and manager Mick McCarthy (Steve Coogan) during the Irish team’s preparations for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
