Biography
Managing Director of Akajava Films, my roles have been across producer, director, writer, researcher and development executive. My films (Congo 1961, Biafra, Eggs, Mebollix) have been widely screened at festivals, winning IFTA, Radharc, Access Cinema awards.
An EAVE and Screen Leaders graduate, I am an accredited feature film development executive and have also trained as a mentor for screenwriters with Sources2. I have a Masters in Screenwriting from the National Film School, IADT where I lecture at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I also tutor at Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania.
Acting as an industry expert for Creative Europe and other European Institutions I possess an in-depth knowledge of European funding.
I maintain an international profile, acting as head of the industry panel at Astra Film Festival, Romania and I regularly participate as guest industry expert at markets and festivals such as Dok Leipzig, Sarajevo Film Festival and Transylvania International Film Festival.
