Biography
Catherine Magee is an established, independent Irish producer. In 2025, she was nominated for a PGA award and won an IFTA for Best Drama, as the producer of Season 2 of Bad Sisters for Merman TV and Apple TV. Also in 2025, she won an IFTA for Best Film for the critically acclaimed Small Things Like These starring Cillian Murphy, which opened the Berlinale Festival in 2024. Previous work includes Element Pictures’ television adaptations of Sally Rooney’s novels Conversations with Friends and Normal People, which was nominated for Emmy, BAFTA, Golden Globe, IFTA and PGA awards. Other credits include the RTE TV mini-series Resistance and Rebellion and the feature film Garage, directed by Lenny Abrahamson, which was the winner of the CICAE Prize in the Directors’ Fortnight, at Cannes in 2007. In 2026, she is currently producing an as yet untitled Lenny Abrahamson feature film with Element Pictures.
