Course Profile

Screen Ireland in collaboration with the UK’s National Film & Television School is pleased to offer Creative Business Development and Leadership for Producers: Building Your Production Company. The course will be a mixture of online and in-person sessions over 3 months. As one of the top film schools in the world, the NFTS has a proven track record of delivering gold standard training to industry professionals. Their Creative Business MA programme has given numerous industry leaders the skills required to develop and lead successfully. This course has taken some key elements from the MA modules and will be offering a Certificate of completion to participants.

NFTS has designed a bespoke course that will meet the needs of producers and leaders, working in film and TV in Ireland and equip them with the skills they need to run a successful creative business. It will be particularly focused on commercialisation and enabling people to grow their business by securing funding, exploiting IP, becoming global, recruiting inclusively and committing to sustainable production practice.

1-2-1s with the NFTS tutors and team will be scheduled throughout the programme. Each participant will also be assigned a mentor, to have 4 post-programme, follow on sessions to cover an area relevant to the mentee. Masterclasses with key industry figures are incorporated into the sessions for the participants, as they are required.

The programme is supported through the Screen Ireland Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme to support the Irish creative screen industries.
