Screen Ireland’s Creative Screen Industry Awards Funding supports the promotion of Irish screen talent, recognising outstanding ability and achievement across Irish film, TV drama, animation, documentaries and shorts

About the Fund 

The primary objective of Screen Ireland’s Creative Screen Industry Awards Funding is to support the promotion of Irish screen talent, recognising outstanding ability and achievement across Irish film, TV drama, animation, documentaries and shorts. Central to the objective of the fund is future growth of the creative screen sector, through the development and recognition of talent. The awards ceremony should offer Irish talent a prestigious and credible marketing tool to promote their creative achievements and ability within the local and international industry. 

Please be aware that this fund is not intended to cover the complete costs of staging proposed events/activities and Screen Ireland should be viewed as a contributory partner. 

Who should apply? 

Any bona fide company established in the Republic of Ireland which is able to demonstrate that it is in the business of organising awards ceremonies and is organising an awards ceremony recognising Irish film, animation, documentary and shorts projects and the talent across the Irish creative screen industries. This fund is in line with Screen Ireland’s strategic objectives in terms of developing and promoting talent. 

Application deadlines
  • For award ceremonies taking place during the period September 1st to December 31st 2026: Deadline April 13th 2026.
  • For award ceremonies taking place during the period January 1st to April 30th 2027: Deadline September 1st 2026.
  • For award ceremonies taking place during the period May 1st to August 30th 2027: Deadline January 18th 2027.
How to Apply 

If this is your first time applying to Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, please email marketing@screenireland.ie before you begin the application process.

Applications should be made on Screen Ireland’s Applications Portal

The following will be required as per the application process:

  • An organisation outline (including details of the board and governance procedures) 
  • Outline of voting procedures and rules 

  • CVs of all principals (include key personnel only)  

  • A detailed budget for the event to include all sources of funding/finance  

  • An outline of the objectives of the event together with a detailed brief on the event itself  

  • A full list of awards presented, jury processes, presenters and MCs for the event

  • Details of the local and international promotion of the event/ awards including broadcast if available 

  • The most recent set of audited accounts and valid tax clearance details 

  • Track record of the event  

How are applications assessed?  

When evaluating the applications, the following will be examined: 

  • The ability to offer a credible and prestigious award offering to Irish creative talent and Irish film, television, animation and documentary projects.  

  • A realistic budget with matching investment from third party sources. 

  • A commitment to diversity, inclusion and equality within the programme of the awards. 

  • Track record of the event. 

  • The ability of event to demonstrate growth in reaching new and diverse audiences from a promotional point of view. 

  • A commitment to develop strong industry involvement and its ability to attract key local and international talent to participate in the event. 

  • Marketing and publicity plan for local and international promotion.
