How many applications did Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland (Screen Ireland) receive for the Perspectives scheme?
Screen Ireland received 411 applications for the initiative. As a result, the competition for support was extremely high.
How many applications were successful for Stage 1 of the Perspectives scheme?
31 applications were awarded development support for stage 1 of the scheme. This number was increased due to the high level of interest in the initiative. The details of the successful projects will be available on the news section of our website in due course.
Is feedback available for an unsuccessful application?
Yes, the official applicant may request the assessors feedback report by emailing sarah.dillon@screenireland.ie. It will not be possible to give any further feedback on individual projects beyond this report due to the volume of submissions received.
When will the Perspectives scheme be run again?
The Perspectives scheme is a pilot programme that is expected to take a minimum of two years to complete with up to five films being produced. Once fully concluded, Screen Ireland will review the success of the initiative before any decision can be made to continue it.

An exclusive masterclass will be available for all unsuccessful applications, details of which are available in the decision email sent to the official applicant.

My application was unsuccessful, can I apply to other Screen Ireland funding schemes with the project?
Yes, Applicants may look to other lanes of Screen Ireland funding if they were unsuccessful for Perspectives. We would strongly encourage all applicants to consider their project carefully in conjunction with the eligibility criteria of any relevant scheme prior to making a submission. Ineligible or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Due to the high level of submissions, all Screen Ireland funding schemes are extremely competitive.
