Andreas Bareiss joined the Gaumont team as Executive Producer in July 2018. At Gaumont he produced the Netflix series "Barbarians", as well as two films for the series "Julia Durant" for the German broadcaster Sat.1 and "9 Days Awake", a feature film adaptation of Eric Stehfest's autobiographical bestseller, for the German broadcaster ProSieben. He is currently producing the series DIE WESPE for SKY and the series WESTWALL for ZDF.
Since 1994, Andreas has worked in various partnerships as producer and executive producer on more than 70 cinema and television films. Many of these productions have won awards, including "Nowhere in Africa", which won the Oscar in 2002. With the creation and production of the "Wandering Whores Saga", Andreas achieved one of the greatest audience successes in the history of Sat.1 and German television in 2010 and 2012.
As a producer, Andreas was awarded the Bavarian and German Film Prize as well as the Bavarian and German Television Prize. In addition to his work as a producer, he is also a lecturer at the Bauhaus University in Weimar.
