Katharina Domnick is a partner in the law firm Brehm & v. Moers in Berlin. She advises national and international companies from the media industry, in particular on issues of copyright and media law. One focus of her work is advising national and international film projects (cinema, TV, streaming/ VoD) on all aspects of rights clearance, development, structuring, financing, production, and exploitation. She also has particular expertise in litigation (including interim relief) and advising on disputes in the media industry, especially in connection with copyright contract law, exploitation company law issues, and the assertion and defense of claims arising from licensing and other contracts relevant to media law. Her clients include German and international production and distribution companies, film studios/majors, television broadcasters, film foundations, holders of licensing rights as well as creative professionals and other companies/affiliates of the audiovisual industry. Katharina Domnick regularly gives lectures and seminars on current issues in copyright, media as well as entertainment law. Among other things, she is a lecturer in the master's program "Digital Media Law and Management" of the Erich Pommer Institute in cooperation with the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and the University of Potsdam. Since 2015, she has been active as a legal expert for film and entertainment law at the Berlinale (Talent Campus). From 2011 to 2016, she was an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the European University Viadrina in the field of media law. Katharina Domnick studied law in Berlin and New York City (Columbia University). During her legal clerkship she worked in an international law firm in Sydney. She was admitted to the bar in 2008 and has worked as a lawyer in an international business law firm since 2008.
